Main characteristics:
The distinctive features of our sauces and pâtés are their premium meats and traditional recipes. For example, our sauces are made with a stock of chopped fresh vegetables—onion, celery, carrot, etc.—when the vegetables are well softened, the meat is added for the first cooking. The minced meats are then cooked very slowly with the addition of wine, tomatoes from our garden, and other ingredients. The long cooking times and the sauce's consistency are the best guarantee of a strong yet balanced flavor and absolutely homemade quality.
The Il Poggio Farm” is committed to bringing to your table premium meats, quality oil and DOC wines produced with a careful selection of raw materials and a deep respect for the environment

Enjoy the Tuscan experience
Let me start by saying (especially for American travelers) you are in Tuscany. Immerse yourself in the experience and culture. For those who think it needs updating...... Life without all of preconceived needs is wonderful. I now know how to make amazing coffee with an extractor. Laugh at the little things that are different and go with the flow. Yes, you will need a car but easy to rent from Chiusi and a very easy drive from there. Chiusi also has a regional train station which I used for Florence. Otherwise driving is pretty easy. Drove to Siena which was my favorite, Assisi and many small towns in the area. Best kept secret is the Labyrinth of Porsenna in Chiusi. And check out the Etruscan museum and dig site in San Casciano dei Bagni. Be sure to walk the about 5000 steps to the bell tower in Celle Sul Rigo. Experience the original part of the town. Enjoyed several meals at the agriturismo restaurant and they were wonderful. The best part is that it is so relaxed you make friends with other vacationers. Reach out, enjoy the moments. Also visited the little store at the bottom of the hill and the agriturismo shop on site and did some cooking in our unit. The cooking class on site was so much fun. Lots of laughter and delicious food. And the view is priceless. Now remember you are in Tuscany. Except for tourist attractions everything closes down in the afternoon and around noon Saturday until Monday morning. But that is part of the charm. Simone is a wealth of knowledge and always so willing to assist. And there is something to be said for seeing the staff in town and they say hi. And yes I am checking out RCI availability for 2025. Ready to do this again.

Tuscany Easter Vacation
First time in region loved the town and proximity of an hour drive to Siena and Assisi. The negatives included a bed being uncomfortable, and given the season not everything was open and lack of knowledge of this fact was significant, given that Easter Monday most things including dinner at the property were closed.

Flights of swallows
A very relaxing and affordable stay, enhanced by the flight of the swallows that Il Poggio hosts and protects! The restaurant serves excellent farm produce, especially the exquisite Cinta Senese ham. The scenery is relaxing. Enjoy your holiday!

Vacation with friends
A very welcoming property, with kind and courteous staff, a splendid view, and excellent food. A property located in the heart of the Val d'Orcia, among the most beautiful Tuscan hills in Italy. The property is clean and feels like you're in a peaceful place, far from the world, yet close to Montepulciano.

An extraordinary site and an accurate parfait
All here is present for a guarantee of quality. Even if the restaurant is open every day, the storage and the body are the ones that we accept volunteers to take the trip to return to the villages you want.

RARE EARTH….. AROUND THE CORNER
I'm Tuscan and live less than two hours away, but we'd never been to these lands. We were enchanted by this valley, nature at its most noble. And this property is the perfect embodiment of it. Apartments, rustic in nature, tastefully furnished. And the restaurant deserves a special mention. I love finding menus with just a few dishes, because that's a sign of care and freshness. And that's it. Local ingredients, expertly prepared in keeping with a world-famous tradition. We don't drink much, but we know how to discern quality. Glasses of their own wine accompanied delicious dishes. During lunch and dinner several times, we had the opportunity to sample many specialties. The local cuisine is top-notch. Jacopo, in the dining room, guides the selections with warmth and professionalism. Prices are reasonable. Highly recommended!

REFINED, EXPENSIVE, BUT THE EAT IS GOOD
It was exactly what I expected based on the reviews I'd read. The agriturismo is very well-maintained, both inside and out. They also have rooms for guests. They're family-run, including a sommelier. The food is good, with somewhat modest portions. The prices are high, but the place is elegant. The wines are also expensive, in fact, the tables around us were sharing one of the few wines, one that cost €13 a bottle. It was a lovely experience, although I prefer traditional agriturismos that are more casual but have lower prices (obviously, if you eat well). One idea might be to offer a full menu, even though I've seen no other restaurant in the area offer one.
